TERMINOLOGIES
PHARMACOLOGY:- Is the study of interaction between chemicals and living systems.
Is a branch of biology concerned with the study of drug actions?
Is from the Greek word pharmacos – drugs, logos-study
DRUG:- A drug is broadly defined as any chemical agent that affects biological systems.
SUB-DIVISION OF PHARMACOLOGY
PHARMACOLKNETICS- Describes “what the body does to the drug. This includes topics such as absorption, distribution, metabolism and excretion (ADME) of drugs.
